AEB partners with QGBC for Qatar Sustainability Week 2017
Organized by Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC) Qatar Sustainability Week is expected to kick off on October 28th and run until November 4th and AEB, as a founding organization of QGBC, has come on board as one of the conference sponsors. The event is designed to actively engage Qatar’s public and private sector in a wide range of sustainability-oriented activities. Its aim is to foster a culture of sustainability among residents and visitors, as well as promote and engagement from members of community.
Meet Ibrahim M. Jaidah, architect of Al Thumama stadium
Design for AEB’s Al Thumama World Cup 2022 Stadium revealed!
The design for Al Thumama Stadium was entrusted to Arab Engineering Bureau and its GCEO and Chief Architect Ibrahim Jaidah back in 2015. Concept is derived from a traditional head piece worn by men across the Middle East locally referred to as gahfiya. Gahfiya is worn by young boys before they would wear a full headgear and adult men wear it under their ghutras.
QIMC Tower
Commissioned by QIMC this project includes three towers, joined at the base, planned for hospitality, commercial and residential use. Drawing on its experience as designer of multitude of high-rises in the West Bay area, AEB’s design is highly effective, both in terms of space planning and energy conservation.
